Can’t find a toy library near you? Why not start your own?

Starting a toy library is rewarding and can be lots of fun! Each toy library is unique, at its heart the individual(s) or group passionate about bringing sustainability and play to their own community.

Toy Libraries Ireland has prepared ‘Starting a Toy Library’, a comprehensive ‘how-to’ guide, which includes case studies, tips and advice to get you started on your toy library journey.

There is no charge for this guide, but we do ask that you register with us to receive a PDF copy.

Additional Services

  • Training and events – online and in-person training, tailored for and dictated by the needs of the toy library community.
  • Networking – join our community of toy libraries. Seek advice from and share ideas and resources with community toy libraries throughout Ireland!
  • Project management and consultancy – we offer a bespoke service for local authorities and not-for-profit organisation wishing to start a toy library. This includes setting up a toy library management system, purchasing toys, establishing operating processes and training staff/volunteers.
